Season: January 3, 2026 to May 4, 2026 (at the latest), includes regular season and playoffs. 10 – 16 matches per team depending on the number of teams in the league/division.

Specific requests for one venue or the other can’t be guaranteed.
Schedule: All matches are 2 hours in length, starting at one of the following times (some dates/times may be added or dropped depending on demand and venue requirements):
Mondays 6pm, 8pm
Thursdays 6pm, 8pm
Saturdays 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm (or may be shifted 1 hour earlier)
Sundays 12pm, 2pm, 4pm (or may be shifted 1 hour earlier)
Teams play approximately 1 match per week on one of the days/times listed
Playing dates/times are not fixed – teams generally will NOT play on the same day/time each week.
Full schedule will be published approximately 1 week before the season starts.
Divisions: Mixed Doubles AND Gender Doubles
Each player can play on one team in each of mixed and gender doubles. The MPL will do it’s best to not schedule a player to play in both at the same time. However, there may be cases where the player plays one mixed and one gender match in one day.
Players only in one of mixed and gender doubles can spare in the other.
Divisions will be formed based on team DUPR rating (average of all roster players).
The league may also rebalance divisions based on results part way through the season or at playoff time.
Format: 4 players per team in each match – up to 6 players on the roster to allow for alternates
Gender divisions – 6 doubles games per player per match – 2 games with each partner.
Mixed divisions MUST be 2 female and 2 male playing in each match, 6 doubles games per player per match – 4 mixed games and 2 gender games – each player will play with the same partner for all 4 mixed games (against 2 pairs of different opponents for 2 games each)

All players must be members of Pickleball Canada (PCO), Pickleball Manitoba (PMI) (or other provincial/territorial membership body) and the MPL. Memberships are on an annual basis (January to December) and current membership fees are PCO $10, PMI $10 and MPL $0 (no additional player fee over the league team entry fee). If you’re not already a member, please don’t register for PCO/PMI/MPL until your team is confirmed to have a division to play in (these fees are non-refundable).Click here for PCO/PMI/MPL Individual Registration (or access through your PCO account).
Spares are allowed to play in two matches before being required to register (but must complete a paper waiver to do so). Prior to the third time playing a league match, the spare must register with PCO, PMI and the MPL.
All players must join the DUPR MPL club during the team registration period. Click here for the DUPR MPL Club (or search through dupr.com). There is no cost to do so – you do NOT need the DUPR+ membership they will try to sell you when you create your DUPR account.
All game results will be entered into DUPR.
Team Entry Fee: $800 – $1100 (tax included) for the season, which includes regular season and playoffs (13 – 16 week season). Exact amount will be determined based on the schedule required for the number of teams in the division and will be communicated/due shortly after registration closes.
